About the event
Ramadan is one of the holiest times of the year for Muslims. Commemorating the revelation of the Qur’an, Ramadan is observed by Muslims worldwide through fasting as a way of drawing closer to God and cultivating self-control, gratitude, and compassion for those less fortunate.
This event, hosted by the Muslim Students' Association of UWGB, aims to bring together youth and community members to learn about Ramadan, its significance, and its benefits. Guest speaker Dr. Idrus Sanusi (Assistant Teaching Professor of Economics) will share insights on Ramadan, and food will be provided.
