This spring, UW-Green Bay’s Philosophy Program is hosting the Philosophers' Café at the Mauthe Center, focusing on the First Amendment and the limits of tolerance. Each evening will consist of a moderated discussion featuring a faculty member with expertise on the topic, open to both UW-Green Bay students and community members. The goal is to bring together people with diverse opinions in respectful dialogue, exploring questions of tolerance and civil liberties. This program is supported by a grant from the Wisconsin Institute for Citizenship and Civil Dialogue (WICCD), and it is hosted by UWGB Philosophy professor Robert Riordan.
The topic for this evening's discussion is "Tolerance, Acceptance, and the First Amendment." It will be led by Dr. David Coury, Professor of Humanistic Studies (German) and Global Studies at the University of Wisconsin Green Bay.
